אליזבת מרגוליס
I was born in Russia in '82. At 1990 I came to Israel with my parents. For about 6 years we lived in kibbutz Bet Ha-Shita and then moved to one of the Segev settlements.
At the university I studied Biology and education.
During the last year I worked as a ranger and a biologist assistant at the Ein-Gedi nature reserve.
I've started writing at the age of 16. At that time I wrote only poetry in English.
Only when I started writing I also started reading poetry in a more serious way. Later on I continued writing mainly poetry in English. I've read poems by R. Burns, sonnets by Shakespeare and some of Dante… Here and there I also read poems by other poets (Frost, Plath, Auden and others), but the one who influenced me the most was no other then J.R.R. Tolkien.
In arts I also deal with drawing and music.
נולדתי ברוסיה בשנת 82'. בשנת 90' עליתי עם הורי לארץ. במשך כ6 שנים גרנו בקיבוץ בית השיטה ולאחר מכן עברנו לאחד מישובי גוש שגב.
באוניברסיטה למדתי ביולוגיה וחינוך.
בשנה האחרונה עבדתי כפקחית ועוזרת ביולוג בשמורת הטבע "עין גדי".
התחלתי לכתוב בסביבות גיל 16. אז כתבתי שירה בלבד בשפה האנגלית.
רק אחרי שהתחלתי לכתוב התחלתי גם לקרוא שירה בצורה רצינית יותר. גם בהמשך – רב מה שכתבתי היה שירה באנגלית. קראתי שירים של רוברט ברנס, סונטות של שייקספיר, קצת דנטה... ופה ושם יוצרים אחרים (פרוסט, פלאת', אודן ועוד), אבל לדעתי מי שהשפיע עלי במידה הרבה הוא דווקא ג'.ר.ר. טולקין.
מבחינה אומנותית, אני עוסקת גם בציור ומוסיקה.
